Datacove are honoured to be named Business of the Year.
As David Mindham handed me the trophy, he said, “You deserve this.” To quote the category, it recognises us as a small business that does the right thing for our clients, our people, and the Gatwick Diamond community.
This award isn’t just about this year – it’s the result of nearly five years of building as a founder, and a 20-year career dedicated to doing work that matters.
It felt especially meaningful to receive the award at The Grand Brighton – the very venue where EARL Conference took place, a major catalyst in our journey.
This recognition belongs to the business, not just me. It’s taken a huge team effort to get here, and I want to say a massive thank you to Abbie Brookes, Laura Mawer, Sophie Desouza, and Sarah Horne.

Judges Comments
Showcasing their business through an informative presentation, Datacove demonstrated clear passion for their industry. This was particularly evident from the creation of local communities to network with and support those within their sector and taking on the running of an international event this past year, hosting it within the Gatwick Diamond promoting visitors to the region, adding to the economy through hotel stays etc. These achievements whilst working as a small team and continuing to grow the business are something they should be very proud of.
Employer of the Year is about doing right by our people. It means building a workplace where Mondays aren’t dreaded, where collaboration is second nature, and where our team feels proud of the work they deliver. We strive to be the kind of company people want to work for, and work with.
Judges Comments
Datacove has a great team of highly motivated staff working in a supportive environment. The Chief Executive has created this environment through demonstrating their values, which are clear and ingrained across the whole team. The Chief Executive leads with empathy and kindness. Flexible working is the norm, but a strong and supportive culture is very much in place. Everyone is clear about what the organisations stands for and wants to deliver and can play their part effectively.
